Does anyone run a truck in pure stock type classes? At tracks around here they allow small trucks to be used (S-10s and Rangers).
S-10s meet all of the rules and have a 108" wheelbase. AND, they use the same front end components as the metric cars! I think i can make it lighter overall. So the way i see it if i can play around with the springs and weight distribution i should be able to be a step ahead of the competition. SHOULD.

the one thing you want to look at is if you can add weight or use lowering blocks and weight jacks it may be lighter but if you can't add weight or adjust the ride heights it will be way down on tail weight. we have a class in the area that runs an s -10 class with a 320 cid limit i have never seen them run but there is a guy in town that runs them and they look cool anyway lol

unfortunately we are not allowed to use weight jacks or lowering blocks. the class is VERY pure stock. we have to use a standard bore 305 a automatic tranny. there isn't much that we can change to make it handle better. but i have a few ideas for getting weight further back. hopefully some of them will work.
