What width are you looking for? I'm not too familiar with stock GM widths. I have a Ford chart showing all cars with 9 inchers and the widths of them. Let me know the width needed and I'll let you know which models to look for.

My car builder told me that any rear off a 67-72 Ford truck has the correct width for a metric car.

Yeah, the Versailles and Granada would be my pick, too. But not all come with disc. Also, they're leaf set-up so you would have to make the correct brackets.

you're going to pay a mint for a granada or lincoln versaille 9". a 9" is very rare in a granada. all versailles come with a 9" and disk brakes but they are expensive. they're also a little too narrow for my taste. you'll need 2" offset wheels on both sides to keep the tires out of the stock wheel wells on a GM metric. the best choice is a 71-73 mustang/cougar, 70-71 torino/cyclone or 70-71 ranchero. they're all the same width. they are somewhat tough to come by as well, but are the correct width if you want to use different offset wheels for fine tuning. spare axles can be from an 8" or a 9" for this rear end out of these cars.
