ok guys and gals. i am wanting to build a modified street. that's what we call them. rules: no aluminum heads, engine setback no farther than #1 plug at ball joint, full body(no late model bodies) run 10 or 12 inch wheels and about the same on tires.
what would be the best: leaf car or coil car?
i run four cylinder modified now and i personally like the coils, but i have never dealt with v-8s that much. any help would be appreciated.

i built a leaf car,if i had to do it over i would go with coils

coil spring cars are less forgiving but MUCH easier to adjust hope that helps

i have driven bolth and i like the coils alot better. also it is alot easier to just pop a different coil in then it is to change leafs

this coil spring thing must be a mental block or something.Leafs are not hard to work with and are forgiving to an extent.But not hard to work with at all.If you ever drove a leaf car and won you would not be so fast to like the coils.I'll bet the guys beating you that know how to use leafs are using less of their car to get to the front.We have had both over the years and found it easier to win and keep consistent with the leaf set up.Especially at rough tracks.we love them on dry slick.
