Other than an expensive spring rate tester, is there an easy way to get an idea of wrecking yard springs? Is there software the numbers(Diameter, active coils, wire size)can be entered on the web, or for sale? How 'bout a homemade tester? Thanks

I believe that auto parts stores that sell springs for cars and trucks would have a catalog with the length and rate of each spring for any particular car/truck, that would be nice to have, save many hours diggin thru a junkyard...LOL!

Good Luck

Thanks, Jammin. That will help alot. Now we can calculate what a spring will be if coils are cut off. Thanks to all again!
