Our local track had an Enduro race last year and it looked like alot of fun , so myself and several friends built some cars. Everyone was knocking their right side tires off. Whats the best way to keep nonrace tires on nonrace wheels? 100 laps or 1 hour. Which ever comes first. tubes? glue? ?????

Use some screws with a rubber washer(may also use some type of sealant along with rubber washer) and drill through the rim at the lip where it will ***** into the tire also. I personally have never tried this but know some people that have and they say it does work. Just some info that I thought would help.

run tubes and also make sure if somebody gets close into you don't turn the wheel very sharp they will get ya every time

Run a bead of silicon around the tire before you blow it up. Maybe inconjunction with SCOOT's screws. Then if your running an endurance race run the tire pressures closer to what you would on the street (30 -32 psi). On a 100 lap endurance race I would get a 12 pack with a cooler, a carton of cigarettes, and leave the radio in - and jam. I saw a guy in a big money endurance race with street stocks (tube chasis cars), he showed up in a bomber (old cadillac), and just got on the inside of the track. He wasn't racing, he was cruising. Everyone else on the track was racing-- 30 cars @ 7000 rpms and 1 @ 4500 rpms. The guy was lapped twice in the beggining of the race, BUT in the end finished third. Saw it with my own eyes. ENDURANCE RACE, not the A-main

The race were going to be in hasn't happened yet. (te33) The rules won't allow screws through the wheels. It looks like tubes, normal air, and patience and I should have this baby won. LOL. Any more suggestions will be appreciated.

Wide tires, skinny rim. That's a good way to keep the beads on... not ideal but works well - are you limited to a certain tire size?

Check with the local tire shops about bead GLUE - they *may* still have some or know where to get it - it's really not used much anymore, but it used to help keep tires on rims that didn't have the safety bead design. If you're NOT gluing them then get some 80-grit and sand the lips of the rims real good to get a "bite" into the rubber lip that might help. Make sure the guy mounting the tires doesn't use excessive tire lube or you're going backwards making them really slick (easy to mount)

Also lighten the car up as much as possible - extra weight puts extra load on the tire.

I ran several enduro races last year and never had any trouble keeping tires on. I got a set of 15 inch non racing rims from a local parts warehouse (did not sponsor car so not mentioning name) and ran street tires (235/60/R15). I ran my air pressure between 25 to 30 PSI depending on the track. The only trouble I had was I broke an old stock late 70's hub cap rim during the first race, so I bought the new rims to solve the problem. Where is the track located at that you are planning to racing at?
