Would a 84 4 door impala with a 116" wheel base make for a good enduro car?Or should I go with a smaller wheel base?

i have a 84 le sabre same thing i will be running as a enduro/cruiser/ figure 8 car next year you should have no probs running that you need a little weight behind you and more room to be crushed in an enduro always helps what are you gonna run for a motor in it?

In southern IN.I am just kicking the idea around the motor wont be much a good solid runner if I even build the car.The car is just sitting there and I just had a thought. Thanks for the resposes.

An old impala is a great enduro car. Like racer 17j said, plenty of room to take the hits. Plus a big car like that will last a long time. If you do decide to build it, don't put tons of money in the engine at first. Just build something that will hold up for the whole race, then improve on it. I belive an enduro is not who has the fastest car, it's who's car can hold up the longest. Good luck.

I would have to agree about the being around at the end of the race. At the track we race at, anything over a 90" wheelbase is ok to race. My brother-in-law has a 1985 subura with a 1.8 litter engine that has finished in the top 10 more times than most of the cars that race against him. Very dependable.
