I run a metric chassis 79 monte.My crew and I decided that my rear springs may be to soft.I was wondering in order to find different springs to try in the stock mounts what cars or trucks should I look at?thanks

hey sideways, i run the springs off of a mid 70s thunderbird, cougar, or ltd. i dont know what rate they are but i have been very succesful with them. if you cant find any of these try a big m/c or big oldsmobil, i have run these to. good luck, charlie norris

we use citation springs you can also get stock pig tail springs from speedway thats what i'm going to do next year

I would try to find out what other people at your track are running for rates(eaiser said than done)and I would buy racing springs that have pigtails like stock. If racing springs are illegal just strip the paint off and leave them out in the rain for a while it wont take long for them to get rusty. Just my 2 cents worth

I am aware of speedways springs but they are not in my budget plus I love to rumage in salvage yards.Thank you all for takeing the time to anwser!

I run rear springs from a '78-'81 metric framed station wagon. I find that the springs from the V6 wagons are just what the doctor ordered.

IF you have a Napa store nearby they have a book that lists the length, diameter, and rate of many different cars. It helped me alot ; I run 96 s-10 springs on the right side.
