In my opinion a metric car is the way to go. Like an 80-87 cutlass, monte, or regal. 108 inch wheelbase

My vote goes for Nova or Cadillac Seville.

I,ve done real good with 69 chevelle. I have read that 68-72 chevelle's are one of the best you can have except there getting hard to find.Plus i just like them anyways.

If there is no weight rule the metric malibu is the way to go.

If the weight rule is in the 3300 lb range then the 2 door caprice is the best way to go. (Light Full frame and wider in the front than the rest) (look for a police suspension package off of a 4 door, pull all of the springs and sway bars and use them!)

Check out some of the Steve Smith books at www.ssapubl.com, the street stock chassis technology book reccomends a camaro or Metric car like the Monte Carlo, Grand Prix,Regal, and the Nova/chevelle equivalant. I think the Camaro or leaf spring cars are more forgiving to beginners, and the Metric cars are better for experienced drivers. Just my opinion.

I think the metric montes are good but the front end is weak my brother drives a metric car and every time he touches someone it bends something and me and my Dad drive 1976 montes and my Dad has won a total of 30 races in 6 years so you decide
