A choice of a '70 chevelle or a '76 monte carlo. I would get both and build the 70 chevelle and keep the 76 for a skin later. The 70 should have better front end geometry. But parts should be easier to find for the Monte Carlo

I would go with the Monte Carlo. At the present I race a 76, and I find them all the time parked. You dont find too many 70 chevelles around anymore.I also think the M/C would be a little lighter.

Bill, I'd pick a camaro instead. Considering the time you are going to invest building up your car, the difference between a free car and a couple of hundred bucks (if that)for a camaro(that by your own admission dominates your track) seems pretty insignificant. The only advantage the metric has going for it is your Tech guys probably don't know what the stock suspension should look like. Let someone with more experience figure out the metric chassis for your track and let someone use that chevelle for an enduro.

oh, do I feel stupid, no metric chassis mentioned here. That's what I get for not paying attention.
Anyway... BOTH those cars are best suited for the enduro. There is a good reason why everyone at your track runs a camaro.
just my $.02
good luck

I would go with the Monte without hesitation, at my track, most everyone runs a Camaro or Monte.

The guy I am buying them from will give me the chev. ready to run. and the monte as a back up car. I was thinking of running the chev. frist because of the wheel base for my track. Tell me what you guy's think. Thanks p.s. any set up tips would be great.
