I am running a 84 monte carlo and I need to add 200 pounds to the car to make it legal.Where should I add it.I can put the weight any where except inside the passanger compartment.

In the trunk on the left side frame rail.How big of fuel cell do you have and is it full?

I would put 50 centered in the car near the rear bumper and 150 on the left frame rail.

I always thought that you wanted the weight as close to the rear end as posiable.

The Monte I drove we had to put the weight near the rear bumper to get the rear percentages in the car that we wanted.

I would put the weight behind the driver as close to the left side as possible. I read in a circle track magizine that you need to keep the weight between the front and rear wheels. If you put it on the front it will push. If you put it behind the back wheel, when you get to the turn, your back end will swing out wide. Before I saw this in the magizine, I put weight on the rear to get better traction, and that is what happened. hope this helps.
