One week the car hauls nutts then the next it seems slow. Heres the info...Ive got a chev 388 double hump heads, Roschester 2bbl (thats one of the rules)usually with 72 jet about 12.5-1 compression 525 lift 235 duration 36 degrees total advance @ 3000 rpm, 2 speed powerglide trans, 3500 stall converter, usually a 6.0 gear unless its tacky then a 6.2, I try to keep the peak rpm around 6800, Were about 1200 ft elevation The car seems to run good with a 72 jet at about 75 degrees 80% humidity. Anyone have any good tuning tips for me? Thanks!!

posted April 08, 2001 09:26 AM does the car seam to run better on different track conditions? i have never heard of anybody running a stall converter that high of rpm in a hobby car have you ever ran it with a stock converer?
