THE PROBLEM WITH THESE RULES IN BOMBER CLASSES IS THAT IT MEANS EQUIPMENT AND TIME IN INSPECTION. AT OUR LOCAL TRACK THEY HAVE A GUY THAT WALKS AROUND THE PITS AND CHECKS CARS. IF YOU HAVE A CI MEASURMENT THEN YOU NEED EQUIPMENT AND TIME. WITH SCALES YOU HAVE ONE MORE CAR CLASS TO WEIGH IN A VERY SHORT TIME PERIOD. LOCALLY THEY WEIGH LATE MODEL, SEMI LATE, AND MODS SO THEIR IS NOT MUCH TIME FOR THE STREETS AND MINI'S. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE CLASSES RANKING ON THE FOOD CHAIN AND PAYOUTS. THE HIGHER ON THE CHAIN AND MORE CASH THE MORE TECH. I WISH WE HAD WEIGHT INFORCEMENT MYSELF BUT THAT WOULD MEAN MORE INSPECTORS. WHICH WOULD MEAN A HIGHER ENTRY FEE.

Good point junebug. I've heard about some of the motors these guys are putting in these cars and most aren't running up front weekly. The key to being fast at Brownstown is not motor size, it's a good driver in a good handling car. To much HP is probably what hurts a lot of the Bombers.

we have run a 360 9-1 cid rule for the past 3 years and it has helped the compition greatly as for weight rules i think if you just enfore a rule of wheel base and just what you can gut out of the car will take car of the weight

BIG PIMPLESS, If you were to read what I said, I did not say that that you could have to much HP. I said "To much HP is probably what hurts a lot of the bombers" But I do agree with what you said that a driver can never have enough HP if he knows how to drive.
