Was wondering what people ran on pavement across the county. Lets here 'em.

We run American Racer g60s.

In the past years we ran the hoosier comanche. This year the tires have been changed to the hoosier F-75. There has been a couple of concerns about breaking stock rearends with the new tire rule.

Hoosier 970 on the Super Stock
Hoosier F53 on the Late Model

Love the 970s - get 3 to 4 races out of the rights and LR, 5 to 6 out of the LF.

The F53s - good grip early on but fade during the long run. New set every race. Ouch!

Balljoint, do those American Racers go flat even when they don't have a puncture? The ones we tried a while back would go flat just sitting in the shop - air leaks out the sidewalls.

No. Actually this is the only tire Ive found not to do that. I have aired my tires once since early september and they still hold.

Tires I had similar problems with were the Goodyear Short Trackers. I would come into the pits with less air then when I went out. that vacuums. I would have to air them up on the way home too.

Running the ARs my teammate set a track record with tires 5 races old. Actually qualified 4th for the IMCA mods that were running that day. After the first heat the cords were showing. thats a good tire.

Ran the Hoosier g60. Tires were worthless after 3 races, even with half the tread left.

Any other ashfelters?
